Steve joined Simmons Vedder Partners in 2012.
Prior to joining Simmons Vedder Partners, Steve spent the previous 18 years with USAA Real Estate Company in both central Texas and Florida. As Regional Managing Director for USAA, Steve was responsible for all commercial real estate acquisitions of all product types, sourcing development opportunities, placing institutional capital as well as all new business development for the Texas Region. Steve completed over $146,000,000 in commercial acquisitions and over $95,000,000 in new development for USAA in core Texas markets. Prior to his role as Regional Managing Director, Steve was Executive Director – Texas Region, responsible for all real estate service activities for a 4.6 million SF Class A institutionally held commercial portfolio located in Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio. Steve successfully managed repositioning several major assets, while overseeing local offices and on-site management, leasing and construction personnel in each of the major Texas markets. Steve and his teams won numerous local, regional and international awards of excellence.
From 1988 to 1992, Steve was Development Manager for the national commercial real development subsidiary of Perini Corporation in Boston MA. During his time with Perini, Steve was responsible for sourcing and developing commercial projects in the five states New England region.
