The first house was opened in 1937 by Stella Hardin. The property has exclusively housed freshman girls for the past 67 years with consistently high standards of service and atmosphere. Grant House was recently renovated and converted to housing for upper-classmen only.
Description: Complete with housemothers, house-keepers and home-cooked meals, the residents of the Hardin House dormitories are treated to a home away from home. What started out as a single boarding house for a handful of girls in 1937 has evolved into one of the most prestigious dorms for incoming freshmen. Over the years, Stella Hardin acquired four more properties and expanded the first to house up to 223 residents.
